I got a ATX power supply from someone and im trying to use it as a lab supply. I searched the number and got this: wich is what i have. Im not able to turn it on now. I tried Green to black already, and the only thing that happens is there is a "squeaking" every maybe 1 second. The noise stops when i take the green of the black. How can i turn it on?
I also tried it with a minimum load, being a 10W 10 ohm resistor connecting red to black.

It might need more than 500ma of load on the 5v line, try using that resistor on the 12v line. Also, take it apart and check for any bad caps, they fail all the time in these.

You might try plugging in an old hard drive to it, sometimes that help them run.
Another thing you might be having trouble with is that some high end supplies have a monitor line that is in one of the 3.3v and 5v pins of the 24 pin connector, which would need to be connected to their respective buses (these lines should be noted on the label, no guarantees tho).
You have checked that it is set for the correct voltage...
It is also possible that the supply is dead to start with...

i tried, doesnt do anything. When i touch green to the black and white and take the white off, the fan turns a little. I also tried with resistor connected to brown and ground and red to ground.

If you cut the ATX motherboard connector off, you will need to make sure the small brown wire is connected to an orange wire, it doesn't matter which one you pick. Look for discolorations on the PCB, as these can show that something overheated. Caps that are bulging at the top can be assumed bad and replaced.

I think that there is 3 voltage sense wires. When i connect it, it gives power o a motor. The problem is that the internal fan doesnt on, and when i connect it to the electrolysis cell, it pulses .5A through it. The cell resistance is one ohm.
