well i have made one but i need to know were i can get a powerful enough pump.i have some mesh and i would like to make a big tube capable of a few 1000 watts plate powwer.........i know this may cost alot and since i have 10$ a week income:P....but anything that would work i will save up for :)

I don't mean to discourage you, but all the equipment and workshop facilities you would need to pump down and outgas a big glass envelope, construct and seal in the electrode structures which have generally to be made of troublesome refractory metals and so on, would cost you very much more than buying a large transmitting triode. I have seen surplus valves of that size from broadcasting transmitters on sale for £100 - say US$200 - much, much less than you would have to spend to construct a large triode valve that actually worked and did what you wanted it to!

Making those tubes requires a HUGE amount of glassblowing experience which would probably take years to acquire, not to mention a facility equipped to do it.

There's one guy here in Poland who makes vacuum tubes at home. He has a lot of vacuum equipment indeed, however he made many tubes (triodes, nixie, VFD, even working GM-tube) in his kitchen. Check and

Needless to say there are active devices which anyone can make at home with very little in the way of money and equipment.
With nothing more than a scrap of galvanized sheet metal you can make all sorts of oscillators, amplifiers and even a transmitter with a home-made negative resistance device. SeeZinc Negative Resistance Oscillator here:
Maybe not quite a costly mega triode needing a giant power supply, but great fun all the same!
