my dad recently bought a ozone maker of ebay to get the bad smell out of the basement but it dident work. immideately me being a freak at taking things apart to fix them i opened it up and noticed that the main hv transformer had a nice black burn mark in it so i immidiately suspected that the transformer is toast so i tried to pull an arc or test the secondary resistence and i found that it was burnt out. im open for suggestions on what to do to fix it or if anyone knows anything about these kind of transformersand their ratings and voltage output. It looks similar to a small open frame nst and if i get a chance ill post a pic.

Yea, get an NST (old or new), two 1 ft x 1 ft squares of metal window screen, and a slightly larger piece of plate glass. Put the 4 together, and you have one hell of an ozone generator!

yea i would but the prob is i have a very limited space way to small to fit even a small nst i attached some pics of the whole thing and one of the transformer that is deep fryed

i could try to use a flyback and for the ozone screen the unit came with a screen so i dont have to worry about that so what i might do is try operating a dc flyback and connecting it to the screen at various voltages and see how well i can produce ozone and at the same time make it very efficent and reliable.
