well i just got a bunch of caps and threw 2 in parallel for 4800uf at up to 300v. hooked it up to my Coil gun and switched with the "touchin' 2 wirez 2gether" method with copper wire and a penny:
this caused a lot of smoke, which went up(smoke tends to do that.)
then a weird stringy thread thing floated down. i recreated the situation and took a picture
I was just kind of wondering what the heck this could be, because it seems to be a solid or a plastic(the state, not the material)that formed from copper vapor. all theories welcome.
since i am retarded, and don't know how to move the pictures(explanation, plz?), they are from top to bottom,
floaty thing floaty thing (zoomed) sparks from the shot
sorry about the white border, i can't use paint to save my live!

I can't pick it up, probably because it is so fragile, but it is VERY light and almost translucent. i can't seem to confine it to see what happens to it, and i end up loosing it after like 30 seconds. I hope that cleared that up.
