Im finally building my 1st oil cooled transformer. Core is now ready to be laminated back together. I have some leftover polyester resin (same stuff you repair boats with) which i could use to fix core laminations together. But will it survive under (mineral)oil? I did some googling but with no success. I know that polyester is not very strong compared to epoxy but will it hold under oil? I really dont want that core falls apart in few months
This time my core has enough room for HV windings
