I got another camera flash board, this one puts out ~ 300v with a 1.5v battery. I was wondering how high i could push the voltage if i heatsinked the whole thing on a old computer heatsink. Unlike my old one, this one has the transformer, the secondary transformer, various resistiors, a diode, a zener diode, 3 transistors, and 3 caps, the main one being 330v 100uf PHOTO FLASH. The cap is really small, 1/2 the size of a 100uf 250v cap i have.

use a cw multiplier to increase the voltage instead of overdriving the driver. (connect before the rectification diode(s)

A cw multiplier is what you need. You cannot overdrive these circuits, they will burn out at around six volts in. And either way, that does not change the output voltage. It is regulated somehow.

Cost is not a factor here. For a CW multiplier this size, some 1nf 1kv ceramic capacitors and 1n4007 diodes will cost barely anything.

You could make a voltage doubler (1 stage CW multiplier) if you took 2 firing capacitors and and 2 diodes for your other flash circuits.
