Just got in some plexi glass of various thickness's and a tube, well when I ordered the tube I thought it would be big enough to fit my Secondary's base, which is just a drain cover, with the middle punched out. I think I can still get the tube to be secured onto the base, and secure the base to the top of the enclosure (sorry Chris), and so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to secure the 2 of them together and still allow me to secure them to the top of the enclosure, I should also Mention that the base would be screwed onto the top, and the tube lays right on all the screw holes. Including some pics of the base and the tube to give you guys an idea of what I have to work with and what I'm trying to figure out.

Hmm I think I'm a bit unclear again, my secondary is PVC and it fits snuggly onto that base, and the Plexi tube would be the primary, and I was just wondering if there is a secure way to fasten the 2 seemlessly or so, If your saying that you can't really do that then .

Chris, you're using solvent welding to assemble your Tesla coil secondaries? A while back, people on the Pupman list were saying that this could cause them to explode from left-over solvent vapours trapped inside the tube.
I used HDPE to make some of my coils, because I heard it had very good electrical properties. HDPE pipe has thick enough walls that I could drill holes up the wall and tap them to take nylon screws. This is about the only way of doing it, because I've never found a glue that sticks to PE.
Maybe you could use a method like this if your plexi tube had thick enough walls.

Haha, I have poor communication skills, hold on I'll try and explain with some more pics....OK, here we go this is my TC secondary with the present primary,
Now the cap, as I have said before these are 4" drain caps.
I have 2 of these caps One is inserted into the top and covered with Al tape, helps it act like a topload, and also allows the charge to connect to my topload Ring I have, and the other cap is inserted into the bottom of the PVC pipe to act as a base (a very sturdy base at that) it has screw holes pre drilled in it so securing the secondary to ANY solid stand or whatever is easy, just use a few screws. Then there's the Plexi glass pipe,
Which I want to use as a primary form now instead of the rubber sleeve I am using right now, the plexi tube will also allow me to adjust the primary up and down for better coupling, although ATM I am not sure how to secure this plexi tube to the cap, since the plexi tube is only 3/16" or so and the tube ends up covering all the screw holes.
P.S. I accidentaly made a double post so could a mod delete the other post.

L brackets maybe? Thats how I did it with mine, except I didn't have that drain piece to complicate things. But then you need to drill into the side of your plexy and down into your base.

I see what you mean I did this same thing and it arced over. My primary actually fit without blocking the holes though. Mine was all made of abs. I just used abs glue and glued the hell out of it. If I was you id just ditch the drain cap, the bigger one with aluminum on it. It's just making it harder to mount. Mount your primary with two wooden block screwed the the base inside the plexi former then drill small holes at the bottom of the former and put screws int o secure to blocks.
