Parallel LCR Q

It frustrates me to see how much things I just don't think about, and when I start I figure out I have no clue about them.

Q is supposed to be RsqrtC/L (for parallel R), and it should also be the current magnification factor, circulating/Iin. (????)

But, in a EWB simulation, I gain no Q by increasing C and decreasing L proportionally; current is always nearly the same when powered by a current source.

With voltage source, both currents increase proportionally with increase of C/L ratio; but their ratio doesn't change.

Also, it's simply not intuitive to have Q proportional capacitance - isn't energy going to be wasted very fast if we just put a short over a huge capacitor?

What is Q then after all, here?

I may be just setting something wrong out in the simulation, or have some grave misunderstanding. I struggle even with EWB.

Post a picture of your simulation schematic. Remember to add a Thevenin/Norton source resistance to seperate the nodes.

Heres an example:

My problem is that I don't have clue what to expect at all - how should it be in reality?

Note that my resistance is series with inductor, although I don't see what would this specifically change.
