Here is a rocket launch video from last month. This was on a rocket i built for my L2 high power certification down in Maryland yesterday. Landed in a corn field a long ways away - took 3 hours to find it - but it was a successful flight. Now to figure out how to mount a Tesla coil on it as i'm sure no one has launched one of those into orbit yet.

I bet that some of the big transmitters on them satellites could be classified as a tesla coil... But you can't get breakout in a vacuum
Looks like a pretty good flight, although you started out a little shaky... Was the rocket way overstable?
BTW, a simple beeper can help a lot to find them out in in the fields. Or you could put in one of my GPS trackers
Good luck with your level3!

It might not have had enough to speed off the rail. Margin of stability on that was about 2 which was measured prior to launch.
Plus, if you look at that flag, it was very windy with strong gusts. that could have been enough to give it a few wobbles down low.
