Looking at flash capacitors I quickly ran across 4 Sprague CERA-MITE strontium titanate High Voltage capacitors rated for 570pf at 40,000V on eBay. With a capacity of 570pF these couldn't be used as the main energy caps for my YAG lamp could they? Trigger capacitors?? They supposedly were removed from a laser but don't know what they were used for in said laser. Does anyone have any ideas?

Those are just 'dorknob' caps, and they would be a very poor choice for any cap in a small YAG laser. They were probably used in a N2 laser (which requires extreemly fast/short pulses in insane powers) or similar.
