I acquired a Lambda rack mounted 0-6Vdc 0-100A regulated power supply, mainly designed for powering laser diodes (thats what I bought it for) but was wondering if there are any ideas or projects that I could do to find another use for this thing? besides making the best +5V rail for a motherboard :p

I have a few laser diodes that could make use of such a supply... Very resonable prices, trading is cool
Other things I like to do with my supply include making 12awg wire glow (make a great hot knife...) vaporising pencil lead, powering bigg pielters (altough with only 6v you probably wouldn't get too far).
My dad used the supply (he got it for $40 at a slae at cal-poly back when he was in school) for spot welding...
