I calculated the proper inductance for the L-matching inductor to connect between the inverters and the parrellel LC primery for my micro SSTC. The tank is in tuned with the new network and now the fets heat up when in operation. They did not heat up with the capacitance matching setup that I always used before and now the spark length is not as great. What could be wrong?

Just to check, the series capacitor was a much lower value than the resonant/tank capacitor the new series inductor should be a similar ratio LARGER than the resonant/tank inductor, yes?

I tried to keep the ratios the same with the switch over.
Series capacitor setup: series capacitor 1500pf tank capacitor 2500pf + variable cap primery 1.2uH
Series inductor setup: series inductor 3.34091uH DC blocking cap .056uf tank capacitor 5000pf + variable cap primery 1.2uH
