I've been trying to find out what a meter relay does, it sounds to me like it has a built in relay that can be used to cut power when the needle crawls up to a set point of the red needle, sort of like an alarm clock I guess. Now this is just my theory, I'm asking someone to confirm this as I can't find a darn thing about them on the net. I think this would be a cool addition to my cap bank charging setup...if I had thought of it earlier I would have went with sky high voltage charging transformers to get it up to the target voltage quicker and let this thing cut it when it is reached.
