Space Trip to Mars Quiz

Haven't had any quizzes for awhile . . . so here is one.

If you had a spacecraft that could travel nearly at the speed of light, how long would it take those occupants to safely and comfortably reach Mars. (relative to the occupants on board of course)

Assume 0.5Au for the distance from Earth to Mars.

Good luck.

For the bonus, how much time would have passed on Earth during the trip ? ? ?

I must be missing something, I get ~ 2 days, 1 day out at 1g acceleration and another day at -1g. Top speed is only 0.00282c so your light drive won't get much of a workout.

Thats right. Pretty easy. And at 0.00282, time dilation is practically nil as well at least in relative terms to 48 hours.
