A tumbling magnet electrical generator

Hi

I designed a kind of interesting generator (I called: A tumbling magnet generator). People always ask me what is power output of this kind of generator. But I do not knew how to count the power output. Someone help?

Use a voltmeter to measure the volage on the coil, and put a ampmeter in series with one of the LED's and see how many amps its pulling?

Also, this kinda looks like the opposite of a DC motor. Magnets are on the outside and electricity is pumped into the coil that creates an em field and makes it turn. Kinda seems like a simmilar concept.

Measuring the power output is
a) difficult, the product (multiplication) of led voltage and current has to be integrated over time
with an oscilloscope and some estimations of areas it could be done but it's
b) unimportant, since all the led power comes from the 'tumbling' magnet.

There may be a very good use for this circuit - but not as an efficient power convertor.

I saw you used capacitors on the website. Charge the capacitor to a useful voltage and divide the energy stored in the capacitor by the time it took to charge. Then you have fairly realistic measure of power.
