Recently, an article about diodes "swimming" in a salt water solution was mentioned on Slashdot. Apparently, floating LEDs and regular diodes can be made to move in circles or in lines using an AC field. This videos alone in the link are worth seeing - its pretty funny to see components move by themselves.

Very cool article and clip and good timing. I've recently been experimenting pulsing saltwater, distilled water and other liquids with various levels of V/amps and this article seems to partially answer some of the curious reactions I've been observing and wondering about. Thanks. CM
