I have a government issued Maxwell capacitor that says it is rated at 50kV. Is this DC or AC? It is about 6" high x 4" x 1" and white with brass blocks on each side with a plastic divider in the center.

Get the Maxwell part number and post it to the Pupman Tesla coil mailing list. There are guys there who know everything you never wanted to know about Maxwell pulse caps.
