Attached is a schematic of the circuit.

700 Joules isn't too crazy, but I am very happy with it!

Nice work there; thanks for sharing.

Have you done any experiments to determine the best number of turns in work coil?
How about instrumentation, such as a kilovoltmeter? Then you can get repeatable shots by overcharging a bit, let bleeder resistor bring it down slowly, and fire when ready.
