Hi all I build this full bridge for a medium sized coil, but i am not sure what would be the best setup for a reliable coil. I have 110 mm(4.33 inch) PVC tube and 0.2 mm(AWG 32) wire. Need to know what frequency to go for. I was thinking 150khz. The primary coil will be 1/4 inch copper tube with a 0.15 uf tank cap at 4000v. will this be enough? Any Ideas please help. Thanks Wikus

Hi Wikus
I think the reason you have not received any replies is that you need to do a LOT more research and reading to establish a solid understanding of how a DRSSTC works.
Your IGBT selection will determine preferred resonant frequency and power output. Work backwards from these. I would look next at the power supply as you never want to exceed 2/3 the ratings of the IGBT voltage. Once you have that you can focus on the MMC and use online calculators to design the appropriate MMC bank for power, voltage, frequency etc. This calculator and JavaTC are your best friends and you should be able to use them in your sleep if you want your coil to work properly and last a long time. Use the search on this forum as it is a treasure trove of information.
Best of luck.
