I have access to These large Magnatrons Link2 And all of the electronics necessary to make a Microwave Sintering Chamber so I can finally make my Transformer designs from long ago. Link2 :) Maybe if it is possible I will make them at home and possibly for others who have a custom ferrite design they would like to try of course they would be poor quality so they would be free.

I tried something similar a few years back, and confirmed the NASA paper was correct in stating cracks in ceramics were almost unavoidable due to the uneven heating.
If you can get a volume larger than around 16^3cm to stop cracking I'll be impressed...
wink

A laboratory grade furnace with sintered medical grade zirconium was much less hassle.

Best of Luck,
Rod

I'm curious, what are you trying to do that you cannot use commercially available ferrite cores, e.g., from TSC International?

They are probably looking for a high frequency Ni ferrite in the power class where sub-MHz Manganese ferrite typically dominate.
