I found this cheap little oscilloscope kit available on several Chinese stores:
The functionality seems pretty limited but for ~20$ it seems like a fun project to put together. What do you guys think? I currently don't have an oscilloscope so would this be worth buying or not?

Well, I'm pretty sure it would be better to save another 20 bucks and buy regular 20 MHz CRT scope. These little DSO are just toys, you won't measure anything useful with 'em.

SK1701, I think that it looks like a good kit, not too expensive, a little difficult for old timers but with young eyes the smd should be no too hard, and this particular version seems to even have the smd soldering done.
A (potentially) battery powered mini-scope is really useful (looking at vehicles, electromagnetic pickup of wires, fences, poles ....) it even does bat frequencies.
the 200 kHz bandwidth is ok for linear power supplies, flybacks, audio amplifiers etc. 20 MHz used to be a desirable bandwidth, xGHz seem almost accessible...
there are many things that can be criticised, but for the price it looks like a good project with a useful product, I suggest that you get some kind of box/enclosure asap even transparent plastic chocolate boxes etc. are better than accidents. (unless you are much more careful than me)
just before you click to buy, check for newer/better/cheaper.......
