 		I have a simple ignition spark tester: Link2

One places it next to the ignition wire on an engine and a neon flashes. I took a neon bulb and placed it next to one of my lab ignition coils. I got nothing. I then took a different bulb from a flash device and could see a faint flash.

Can anyone tell me how these bulbs are rated? Do they have different flash voltages? Could anyone guess about the one's in the spark testers?
