Wow! Nice bits of kit! Can't seem to get the link working, are these the same? 1700V 800A modules. What do you plan to do with nearly 40kJ of capacitors? That's about 1/6th the calorific value found in a mars bar!

That is some mountain of capacitors! They do however seem pretty large for only 1500uF, but heavy terminals so must just be rated for high RMS current.
Those IGBTs are big, but also 4 times slower than a CM600 and over twice the gate capacitance.
What projects do you have in mind with all this hardware? A large DRSSTC? Capacitor bank for exploding stuff? Reselling?

I intend to offer up a load of them for sale at £4 a peice or £3.50 if over 10 are brought.
Indeed, I think i would like to make a huge DRSSTC, along with some coilguns and so on.
all the stuff comes from the huge wind turbines, the igbts are used in groups of 12 (24 individuals) for a total of 800kW Grid-Tied inverter.
The guy will be sending me the fibreoptic drivers too (that may work) along with some more IGBTs that (may work) If these all work i plan to use them for the DRSSTC.
I am thinking, to help deal with how slow they are, run several primays, giving each of them time to recover, similar to what the Giganator did or somthing?
