Hello. I am thinking about thyristors that may be used to drive various high voltage experiments that involve a transformer or an autotransformer.
I am looking at the datasheet here. What number from this datasheet will give me the frequency at which the thyristor will respond to input from the feedback?
Are there thyristors that will not "misfire" at 10^6 to 10^8 Hz? I want to try something like this: The Ne-2 bulb has a very interesting characteristic - it starts to conduct low voltages if ionized by high voltage of 10000Hz.
I wonder what is the response time for this setup.
Would a system of a transistor, thyristor and a Ne-2 bulb respond in 1/1000 of a second to make a good oscillator?

It is the ratio of the gate trigger current needed, to the nominal current. So for a 1us pulse you need 2x the current that you need for a 20us pulse.
I've never seen a thyristor that would function at 1MHz. The main issue is the time they take to recover to the blocking state. If you want power at 1MHz, use a MOSFET.
