Hey everyone,
My website , has been reported by several people to launch a popup advertisement (usually about ringtones or something). I really hate ads and I have no idea why this happens.
External script files on the site are limited to two... one of them is Webring (pretty sure no ads? Or am I wrong here?), and the other is a webstats thing which should be ad free.
Nothing else. Whats going on? And how come I never see the ads on my own computer (even with ad blockers off?)
[excuse the question marks... I edit the site using dreamweaver.. copy and paste style.. no idea of how HTML works, pretty ignorant in this area]

I got a huge popup that filled the whole screen. After pressing refresh a few times it stopped appearing so you probably visit the site too often to get to see them.

Popups coming from sites you don't expect to pop up anything is often a good sign that you've got "SpyWare" or "MalWare" installed on your machine (i.e., the machine viewing the site). If this is Windows, might consider running MS AntiSpyware (or similar) just for grins, or look in Add/Remove Programs for anything you don't think you opted in for. I've several times had stuff like this happen (I type in "www.google.com" and end up somewhere completely different, or one out of ten times I get a popup) on my wife's computer, and discovered that it was SpyWare-infested. She's not as good as I am about saying "No" to stuff that offers to "enhance" your browser

The host "ilead.itrack.it" sounds like it could have a connection to webstats4u.com, your statistics script service host.
Let's investigate that:
$ host ilead.itrack.it
ilead.itrack.it has address 62.146.88.105
$ host webstats4u.com
webstats4u.com has address 62.146.88.121
That by itself isn't completely damning, but given the context, I would be very surprised if that isn't your problem. Lose the stats script and you'll rid yourself of popups.
