Hi all.
My tubes (2*6C40P) turned up, as expected in excellent condition.
Has anyone else done any experiments with these? It seems that they aren't really designed to handle any power but for high voltage (ie 30KV) they work very well if suitably biased.
Interestingly the internal construction is very much like another similar tube (5642) which is a rectifier not a triode but works well as an "emitter"
Kind regards, -Andre #include "yesihaveadosimetersodontpanic.h"

Thanks!
Do you know of any phosphor that converts radiation to infrared? I have a Gen 0 NV tube here which might be a neat experiment but the usual phosphors won't work at all. It reacts nicely to a vertical cavity laser and an IR LED though.. maybe turn it into a homemade "scope" display? Similar to but smaller..
