I have tried to get a consistent way to transfer labels and schematic information to my etched boards. I've used an iron on the paper after running it through my laser printer (toner transfer). I've also tried using toner transfer paper.
My results are variable. Some stick to the board; others do not show.
Do I need to get a roller to give a fixed amount of heat and pressure to do this properly? Is there another method that is not crazy expensive?
Thanks.

I've done it successfully with transparency film and a laminator. The consistent heat and pressure is probably the key to success here. I use

Has anyone used acetone on laser printer paper to transfer the toner on the paper?

the photographic method also gives nice results once mastered :)
