My Goal is to make a driver for any application from SSTC to Fly back HV/LV. I would like current sensing capabilities from a Current Transformer, Full Gate Isolation, Adjustable Dead Time,
Adjustable Frequency and as much protection as possible for expensive ISOTOP FET's. This will be the first actual Full bridge driver I mostly build Half bridges and not much knowledge on Full bridges I have searched hours on the internet but I would like to here some Information from the best forum available in this subject.

Well you can always use the omnipresent TL494, but you might better go with the SG3525 which has pulse-by-pulse current limiting option (and all the other features you requested), it just can't drive the GDT directly at high frequencies. BTW, the control circuit for half and full bridge is the same.

UC3825 is faster and 'beefier'

Oh less complicated than I thought can I use a darlington Pair to drive the GDT? Or would I be better off with Opto isolators.

Just use regular gate drive ICs to drive the GDT you can find them cheap and work well

Wow UC3825 even has soft start Capability I could not fully understand the Data sheet can it go below 100KHZ or will i have to use a lower frequency device and this device with some sort of switch to switch it to the slower IC when adjusting the Frequency POT?

And I will try to find suitable Gate drive IC's that sounds like the best solution.
EDIT: I apologize if this has been addressed before I will do much more research.

look at the Unitrode components and app notes. (theres a whole list of really cool ICs, but ill share a list of my favorites, we cant have 800 different ICs as hobbyists like a big corp can.)

must go to class, will be back soon to say more...

That would be nice to have availability too all I.C's for your own testing I am actually starting an Electronics recycling service that takes everything for free and I am going to De solder everything I get I might just have a huge collection and will have to get rid of allot of it I may be a great help to the Box or start a thread for a list of stuff the forum can have.

What is everyone's thoughts on Zener diode gate protection for Half/Full/Single mosfet configurations?
