Hi all. So I received 3 of these units this evening, thanks to Mr Dtr-lpf on Ebay Interesting to note that despite one of the units having slight damage to the die the performance seems the same at least with 1mA in, I have to make a proper power supply for it as **link** is typical here. Possibly a cosmetic issue during manufacture?
These units differ from the normal PT-54 as they have Peltier units built in. The assembly has copper on both sides so ideal for cascades and my upcoming attempt at the Tc record.

Those are the modules out of casio projectors, quite a bit of red light! The copper tecs are quite nice, I am surprised that not many people have experimented with them, since with (low melting point solder at least) you can solder little things directly to them.

Personally, I had one of these still run with the die cracked clean in half. However, be careful with surge currents, because they certainly don't enjoy them.
