I built a ZVS driver for my flyback last night however after powering it up, noticed that nothing happened.
When I checked the driver more carefully, I noticed that both mosfets became scorching hot in less that a second of operation with one heating up faster than the other.
From what I checked, all the windings and the connections are correct having double checked it multiple times and using components that should be adequate for running this driver.
Zener Diode = 1N4742A 12V MOSFET = IRFP250N Fast Diode = UF4007 Inductor = Unknown Henry Tank Capacitor = WIMA MKP 4 1000V 220nF ( Powersupply = ~28.7VDC (can supply more than 10A)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Dragon64,
It looks like your fast recovery diodes are connected wrong.
The diodes need to connect the gates of each MOSFET to the drain of the opposite MOSFET.
