Orb wireless charging problems

Hi all.

Picked up one of the flat disk Orb chargers complete with two Wii batteries in the post Christmas sales to replace my older non-working unit.

As I now have four Rx units this is handy as one can go in my front bicycle light, one in my phone and the other two used for other projects such as charging power packs.

Problem is, this unit has also gone bad and I hadn't even modified it!!

It works on one side but not the other, normally the LED goes red then blue if the battery is full.
Any ideas?

I did notice that the 54nf capacitor on the "good" side is getting warm, is this normal?
Possibly the value on the bad side has drifted out of spec and no longer resonant..
