Hey guys i was currently working on a ZVS induction heater of this circuit
When i read different forum posts on ZVS induction heater, i saw many people complaining about Mosfet failure. Now um getting depressed even before building it :(
Is there any precautions that should be taken to avoid these problems???? Any suggestions??
my parts: IRFP260N (two in parallel) 470 ohm 5watt resistors 10K 2 watt resistor 12 volt zener 1 watt for each mosfet UF4007 1kV fast diodes 0.1X38 = 3.8 uF 640V MKP Capacitor bank 220/38 30 A 1000 watt transformer 1000 V 50 A bridge rectifier Filter cap 47000 uF 100 WV

For higher power: go with a LCLR setup, a half bridge driver, some beefier mosfets and perhaps most importantly: find a way to regulate power and adjust frequency according to workpiece. Mosfets don't last long in capacitive region.
My way: Allegro IC current sensor connected to a AVR giving frequency out. Allways keeps the tank in the inductive part, witch keeps the inverter happy :)
