Hey guys i was currently working on a ZVS induction heater of this circuit

When i read different forum posts on ZVS induction heater, i saw many people complaining about Mosfet failure. Now um getting depressed even before building it :(

Is there any precautions that should be taken to avoid these problems???? Any suggestions??

my parts:
IRFP260N (two in parallel)
470 ohm 5watt resistors
10K 2 watt resistor
12 volt zener 1 watt for each mosfet
UF4007 1kV fast diodes
0.1X38 = 3.8 uF 640V MKP Capacitor bank
220/38 30 A 1000 watt transformer
1000 V 50 A bridge rectifier
Filter cap 47000 uF 100 WV

Please help!!!!

from what ive learnt, paralleling can be a bad idea unless they are perfectly matched. Good luck!

I think it is OK to parallel mosfets.

Hi, we all want more power, i have here some units of IRG4PC50UD, IGBTs so i was thinking what kind of modifications i might need do for use them in this Mazzili ZVS driver.

For higher power: go with a LCLR setup, a half bridge driver, some beefier mosfets and perhaps most importantly: find a way to regulate power and adjust frequency according to workpiece. Mosfets don't last long in capacitive region.

My way: Allegro IC current sensor connected to a AVR giving frequency out. Allways keeps the tank in the inductive part, witch keeps the inverter happy :)

a simplified circuit. I'll use ferrite bead around each mosfet's gate along with a 10 ohm gate resistor.

Is there anything else to improve?? ANY SUGGESTIONS ?????

here is a video of it working at 1000VA input....the power output disappointing. Next one will be h bridge LCLR heater capable of 15 KW.
