Hi..
Looks like Higgs is pretty much certain to win the physics Nobel in either 2012 or 2013, depending on how long it takes for CERN to confirm the particle's existence by combining the LHC and Tevatron data.
There is a fair argument for the prize to be split two ways between Prof. Hawking and Prof. Higgs on the grounds that both contributed to the discovery.
