Cheaper more reliable hall effect sensors... heck ya. Pretty interesting too, I wish they would have gone into more detail but with them starting up a company to manufacture products using that technology I suppose they don't want competition before they open their doors. :)

If the paint acts as the target substance for a nuclear magnetic resonance detector, the electric current output they speak of is detected by measuring changes in exciting current's Q. How complex is the control chip?

How do you read this? The circuit element changes resistance with B ?

So let me see if I am reading this correctly, they used the $21.5 million taxpayer funded facility to research this, and now they want to file for a private patent?

The taxpayers could apply for the patent, but alas, the government cant. It isn't a person.
