Hi.. I found my intact Easy Step board from Sparkfun.
Does anyone else happen to have experience with these? Specifically how to not have it fry if using it to drive more than one motor. I have a cunning plan to power off the chip before switching but don't want to fry it again.

I know about the pot being backwards, however my board seems to work. I did notice that it needs a lot of power, is this normal? it seems to step and microstep correctly in both directions but the 5V light flickers..
I've mounted it on a double sided PCB to act as the power, ground and heatsink with a USB connector as the servo output. Looks kludgy but ideal for swapping out motors without resorting to nasty screw type connectors, and can be modified with a magnetic switch to prevent damage to inadvertently plugged in pendrives etc.
