Extended induction cooker runs?

Hi all.
In my travels I picked up several induction cooker plates consisting of Litz wire wound on a flat sheet under mica.
Also have control boards and other bits.

Was wondering if anyone here has run an induction cooker for several tens of hours, as I need to do this for annealing superconductor precursors such as BaCuO.
May be better off scratch building one but using a temperature feedback to keep it stable and MOSFET cooling.

To prevent a bridge failure mucking it up, would it be feasible to duplicate the bridge so that if one starts to overheat or otherwise destabilise it switches over to the second to let the first cool down?

Can you not just add cooling fans or place the circuit under oil?

Assuming the induction cooker can run for extended periods while cooking, I wouldn't worry about a 10-hour run. After a few tens of minutes (at most) the bridge should have reached thermal equilibrium.

i would think it would be much more interesting and you would learn more from doing the complex way!

More complicated ways of doing something means more modes of failure. You'll learn a lot for what not to do unless you are Mr. Perfect. :)

However, (a) is more likely to work...
Although I doubt an oil-cooled driver is the way to go here...

I found that broken IH board.
Both the transistors and the Arcotronics 5.2uF tank capacitor look fine so I've remounted them on the heatsink with the capacitor across the collectors.

Plan so far is to make a Royer but with active feedback so if something goes wrong it crowbars to protect itself.
