Ah it wouldn't turn on after replacing the blown fuse so I took a look inside and then found out why.. - Does anyone know for sure what that blue stuff is? It looks like corrosion to me, it ate through the traces and through two legs of a transistor.
This is the air purifier: It works by making ozone via corona created by flyback transformers (one AC and the other DC) that kills bacteria and such. It also has a fan, UV light bulb, and various removable filters.
Thoughts? Just thought it would be an interesting post as not everyone gets to see into a $600 air purifier. I can post more pictures if anyone would like.

Copper nitrate is blue though. Perhaps the same process that created the ozone also created nitrogen species, and the high potential of that area (near the flyback) attracted the particles to the copper.

Those traces look like they are wires soldered over the original traces. To do that the coating would have to be cleand off the traces. Is it corrosion or is some insulant they coated that area with that has reacted badly with the ozone?
