MIDI input in fl studio

hey. i just got my usb to midi converter in the mail, and am currently testing it with my arduino. here's what i have found. the arduino sends info. then converter receives the info(validated by both the led, and my logic analyzer). fl studios doesn't pick anything up. the midi input activity light doesn't show light. what can i do to troubleshoot this?

i was unable to get either the input or output working in fl, but the converter itself seems fine. as far as i know, i configured it correctly...
