Hi all, I'm experiencing with Induction heater again, and I got here 3 Sirectifier Thyristor-Diode Modules, that i got from a Inverter (Motor controller).
Does anybody knows a nice usage for this? Any Ideas?
I was thinking about using it to build a High current Rectifier bridge, but reading some articles that i've found on the internet, I've noted that Thyristors need a signal to latch up and start conducting. (
So I probably would need a Signal to "start" my bridge.
Any suggestions on where to use SCR's? Preferably something that is related to Induction heaters.
If I dont find any usage for them, I think I'll try to sell them.

Using a nice SCR as just a diode seems like a waste (unless you really need a diode that powerful and have nothing else) Most of what I see on here about using SCRs involves using them as a high energy switch and usually with a capacitor bank. A spot welder is the only use for one that i can think of that is remotely close to an induction heater
