Hi all. Has anyone had any success getting two or more of these inverters to run with a frequency offset of a few hundred Hz?
I can't be the only person who has wondered about using them for glow discharge plasma experiments, in particular for building a solid state vacuum pump.

Solid state plasma vacuum pump? So you mean you just have a barrier discharge tube with a positive grid at the high pressure end to attract the heavy ions and resupply them with electrons and a negative grid at the low pressure end to trap the electrons? Never heard of that, got a reference?
I don't see the relation with piezo transformers though ... they're compact, but I don't see why that would make them especially good at it.

I think he means something like the paper "Aerodynamic flow acceleration using paraelectric and peristaltic electrohydrodynamic effects of a one atmosphere uniform glow discharge plasma" (no free version available).
