This transformer has lettered taps. I'm wondering if anyone can help identify which letters are used for the inputs. It looks like it was made in 1963 according to the stamp on the top. It came from some very old lab equipment with tubes and such and sadly the wires were already cut before i got a chance to check it out to see what was connected where. It seems to be in pretty decent shape for its age and I'm wondering if it would be useful for anything or if i should even try powering it up. Any help would be appreciated.
There are 22 tap points lettered from A-V. Starting from left to right here are the resistances measured A-B 8.4 ohm, C-D 8.4 ohm, F-G are connected together to form 104 ohm between E-H, J-K are connected together to form 264 ohm between I-L, N-O are connected together to form 342 ohm between M-P, S-T are connected together to form 365 ohm between R-U , V seems to be by itself not connecting to anything else.

I'd guess that "V" is an electrostatic screen which is usually connected to earth as would be the core/metalwork. It is to form a barrier for rf interference from the ac mains between the primaries and secondaries, it also forms an electrical safety barrier in case if internal short-circuits. If "V" is the screen then the wire should be connected about half way through the windings, usually the primaries are on the inside and the secondaries on the outside. So if for example the wire from "V" goes between A-B, C-D and the other windings then I'd guess A-B and C-D are 110 Vac windings for 110/220 Vac input option. Try connecting the ac mains VIA A MAINS RATED FILAMENT LAMP to A-B and measure the voltages across theother windings, which all seem to be (some volts) - 0 - (some volts). i.e. center-tapped windings.
