I bought a gu-39b-1 awhile ago from gstube, they said they were going to mail it this janury. I have already had 2 dreams that it broke in the mail (Oh great Im loosing sleep over a vacuum tube!) does anyone know what are the chances it will survive? I'm more worried about the filament breaking than the tube getting smashed. somebody please give me some comforting information so i can sleep again

Hi crazyivan, hears mine I have had mine for a few years. I had no problems with shipping, is it inshured. I got mine from hear
I belive. the things that you have to be carfull of are the terminals on the top of the tube and not to break them off. What do you plan to make with it? I want to make a VTTC. I have all the equipment to build it but it is a major project

No need to worry. I've had a 304TL survive shipping from the states to sweden, and this tube is supposedly one of the most fragile tubes ever made in terms of filaments.

I received a GU-39b which had one of the filaments broken, but don't know if it happened during shipping. Recently a friend received a tube with broken filament and I've heard from a lot of people that they received tubes with broken filaments. Indirectly heated tubes survive better.

The top one is my broken gu-5androids glued together) and the bottom is my functional one, the top one I think they broke in customs because there was dried blood on the packaging!
I am worried they will brake my tube! The gu5b pins look more fragile than the gu39!
