does anyone know how to unplug this sort of plug?
Pulling or rotating with medium force by hand alone seems not to do anything.
Do i need more force? is there some technique to it? do i need a tool?
A cutter or any other option that results in damage/inability to easily reconnect it will not be performed.

The 2 plugs seem to be different from each-other, one i can see some small tabs, the other one the tabs seem somewhat covered

Im really not wanting you to do anything that is irreversible on this device, but i think you unscrew those end caps and maybe the wire comes out. But they may be soldered to the PC board, in which case those wires dont disconnect, those connectors are for preventing water intrusion.

you might be able to press those slots in the middle pic, the plastic shell may come apart.

Is the device meant to be outdoors?

is it possible for you to take the case apart while leaving those connectors in place?

someone on IRC has found this Link2
that is what the leftmost plus is like, though i still cant manage it by hand, i need 3 hands! hm
the right most one seems sort of un upside down type and has an extra plastic cover over the tabs, maybe i can get 2 screw drivers in there

Yes its an outside device, the manual for the box doesn't show wires hanging out of it so i don't think it is soldered

What panel is it? Looks like the connectors I was working with a couple of summers ago. If i remember correctly, there was no tool available, but they can be removed. It was just pretty difficult and hurt your hands haha. I think you had the right idea with the screw driver. They have two rubber o ring seals in them IIRC...

I got it out using someone else as my '3rd hand' lol
woo free power, not sure how legal that is, oh well, I'm sure there is 101 safety rules how to make the proper electrical connection to it to be safe etc.
i guess ill put it back when they come to recalibrate the smart meter

There is a special tool to take those plugs apart (I don't have one but I wish I did). I've had to assemble hundreds of them at work (did a few rooftop solar installations). I have managed it with the "3-hand method" without damaging the connectors in any serious way. Be careful of the panels themselves, they are always on and when you have a few, lets say 6 60v panels, in series it is very uncomfortable messing about with those terminals.
