Dan McCauley's device from EVR.

his device has a roll-off of -3dB at 50MHz, but id like to use his circuit modded to -3dB at 100MHz. im simulating my guesses now, but intelligent thught and advice is more well come than my random geussing....

I want to make th above circuit roll off -3dB at 100Mhz if possible, but my large caps may make that impossible.

Hi Patrick.

Well for dia 1 couldn’t you just half the vale of the 120pf caps,
Unless I’m missing something obvious? Not sure what the 82k resistor does though.

No 2 looks to have the compensation network split in half and put at each end of the coax and matched to the coax impedance. Wild guess use shorter coax and adjust C5?

Time I started to learn using a simulator as well I think.

that was a DUH on part, your right cutting them in half brings it up from 54 MHz to 108 MHz.
ok so now i need to figure out how or if it can be attached to my circuit.

i use MULTIsim10 i really like it its more graphical than the traditional pspice type software.

edit: that 82k seems to double the effective freq rolloff, and im thinking it reduces the phase shift.
