I been wanting to make my own microcomputer around the 8085 but I did not know where to start, until I found this site. It gives step-by-step instructions on getting the 8085 working and adding basic input and output hardware for it. Getting instruction code into a non-violative ram or EEPROM would be tricky.
UPDATE: I got my homemade EEPROM programmer working and I ran the four bytes of code programmed on the non-violative ram(MK48Z18B). The led lights up on the SOD output. Success!
