I sold it to a blacksmith. He will use it to forge knives and swords. Here is a video of his first run, followed by putting the hot steel under an air hammer.

Nice work! The fact that someone bought it to do work means you must have built it to be pretty rugged and reliable. Did you build/design it with the intention of sellling it, or was it initially just a hobby project?
It's always fun when your projects make a little cash. Warner Brothers bought rights to the visual likeness of my portable coilgun for use as a prop in a little production code-named "Magnus Rex" coming out next summer. They certainly paid more than it cost me to build it!

Nice job for the movie prop. I built it as a hobby project. This blacksmith is now using it to heat steel pieces to 2400F so he can work them with his hammers.
For those who have never see this, here is something else my induction heater could do. No mosfets were blown during the production of this video.
