Hello friends, I am trying to make a levitator circuit as given in the website according to the instructions for my mini project. I have followed accordingly and completed building up. But the problem is its not working well.So wanted to ask a few questions. I have used a photodiode instead of a phototransistor, whether thats causing the problem? I want to know which one has the better frequency response since the circuit connected to the sensor has to work quite fast switching between on and off the power transistor, connected to the electromagnet coil. Also whether single Opamp or dual opamps are better for faster frequency response.I have used four single opamps in the circuit for the control of the coil.
Hope you could help me out.Thanks.

A photodiode is not the same as a phototransistor and cannot be directly substituted. If you are following the circuit exactly, it won't work. With a photodiode, you need more amplification circuitry to get a suitable signal.
