Hi all.
Also featured on Hackaday, this clock is guaranteed to drive people in waiting rooms completely demented.
I had an idea, combine the randomness of a Geiger counter with a microcontroller which pulse counts. If pulses < 60 per minute it compensates by adding pulses rapidly at the end of the minute.
Would work best with a very small tube such as the SBM21 with HV830 + doubler and added neodymium magnet strips to increase sensitivity.
This clock has the advantage of being useable as a GM counter if needed without switching modes etc, Just measure the "buzz" as 60 second endpoint and save data in onboard memory so it can be uploaded to Twitter etc, at set times each day.
Displaying accumulated count underneath on an old pedometer display (tiny low power LCD, ideal for this) would also be useful, with a little flashing indicator which lights up to show a substantial increase in the last six hours.
