The aforementioned have contributed financially to the continuing triumph of 4hv.org. They are deserving of my most heartfelt thanks.
In this one, we still have only the four bulbs, a 9V source, and two DPDT switches. In this case however, instead of having three on, and the one that is on rotates with the flick of the switch, when the switches are in the first position, only one light is on. When the switches are in the second, two, third, three, and fourth, all of them are on. I got to a point where three of them worked, but I couldn't get the position where only one remained on, and had it at 2, 3, 3, and 4. The first puzzle... still puzzles me, and so does this one. I feel like destroying every single physical DPDT switch I own! (Frankly it isn't much, I only have one embedded in an electronics set)... the teacher, Mr. Scime (Shihm-ay), is driving me crazy with his puzzles. They aren't for a grade, and the EC opportunity has passed. It drives me insane, however, that I cannot figure it out... Please help me :D

It’s is easier if you can get used to writing out the problem as a table for what input should give what output, you would typically use 0’s and 1’s for the inputs as well, but if your thinking of them as switches maybe it’s less confusing if you want to use on/off.
OFF OFF = 0 0 0 1 OFF ON = 0 0 1 1 ON OFF = 0 1 1 1 ON ON = 1 1 1 1
Sometimes the pattern is easy see, but I may not have understood correctly from the way you described it.
