Anyone tried a Dual Resonant induction heater before?....

Just thinking about the possibilities behind that, only issue is keeping both sides in resonance, since adding a workpiece = changed res frequency. Maybe something like how they do FM transmission on the primary side?

An induction heater kind of is dual resonant if you use a coupling transformer. The secondary of the coupling transformer will be an LC series tank circuit (where the L is the workpiece, as well as any leakage in the transformer and wiring). The impedance of this tank will be coupled to the primary of the transformer. You can then drive this directly by a full bridge, and at the right frequency you can achieve a perfect ZCS waveform without even having a series tank capacitor in the inverter-primary wiring. With a feedback loop, this would in principle operate almost identically to a DRSSTC. It is more common to use a PLL, though, since it is often desirable to pull it slightly out of tune to reduce peak currents, and the typical DRSSTC feedback driver isn't configured to be run out of resonance.
